Reminder for MDHS Graduates
Graduation package (diploma and transcript) will be available for pick up at Markham District High School main office from Monday, July 6th to Thursday July 9th from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm. Identification is required to pick up the package, as these are legal documents. If you are unable to pick up the package yourself, please send a letter of permission to markham.dhs@yrdsb.ca indicating who will pick up your package at the school on your behalf.
End of Year Message and Important Dates
As the 2025–2026 school year officially comes to a close, we want to thank you for your continued partnership and support. From academic milestones to extracurricular achievements, our students have put in tremendous effort over the last ten months, and we congratulate them on their hard work.
Looking Ahead to Fall 2026
While the building is quiet for the summer, our administrative team is already preparing for the upcoming school year. To help your family plan ahead, please note the following important dates:
Friday, September 4, 2026 | Student timetables will be emailed to parent/guardians and student GAPPs accounts. Further instructions will be included in the email. |
Tuesday, September 8, 2026 | Grade 9 Day (only Grade 9 and Community Class students). Please refer to the schedule emailed on July 6, 2026. Grade 9 Parent/Guardian Welcome to MDHS Session (8:15 am – 9:00 am) in our Library |
Wednesday, September 9, 2026 | Grade 10 - 12 students begin |
Summer Reminders
- Main Office Hours: The school front office will operate on a modified summer schedule (Monday–Thursday, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm)
- Please watch for emails in July and August which will provide detailed student-specific information regarding School Cash Online, Grade 9 Day, and important dates for early fall
To the families of our departing grade 12 students, we wish your graduates the best in their next chapters. To our returning families, we look forward to welcoming your students back for another productive year.
